Leadership Course

COURSE SUMMARY

The program consists of a series of developmental workshops over one year to help participants understand that leadership skills can be learned, honed and make one become aware of their strengths and weaknesses. Participants will be provided with pre-reading materials before the course that will help them grasp new approaches to leadership that can be used to strengthen their health systems.

After an initial introductory 5-day course, trainees will participate in quarterly facilitated 2-day or half-day workshops focused on mentorship, career development, and leadership. All workshops consist of a mix of didactic, experiential and interactive group work and relevant components will be video recorded for future online learning. Additional, relevant reading materials are provided over the year.
